A 3 Day 'Masters Program' Workshop.

Wandering Around Outdoors (‘WAO’) workshops have been designed for photographers of all levels and experience to help them unlock the mysteries of successful landscape photography and their digital camera.

The ‘Masters Program' is an eye opening exploration of the compositional rules, guidelines and principles of landscape art that the masters have used for centuries. In this program you will learn how to directly apply the language of landscape art to your photographic and painted images. You will be guided and assisted by the instructors at every step. You will also be afforded opportunities to explore your own artistic vision at some of the Santa Ynez Valley’s most picturesque locations. (Workshop reviews and reports).

The Santa Ynez Valley has been the location of one of our longest running 'Masters Program' workshops. We are in our ninth year in this extraordinary location. This popular three dayworkshop has proven to be a mecca for both novices and experts who are serious about creating “emphatic” and award-winning landscape art. The workshop will take place in and around Los Olivos, CA including access to some of the most ideal locations to practice making your own art - two foothill multi-acre oak forest and meadow locations replete with picturesque landscape art views that echo the examples and demonstrations in the workshop curriculum.

Included in the ‘Masters Program’ is extensive documentation that compiles and codifies decades of research and writing by Tom and Van on the essence of landscape art. As with each ‘Masters Program’ workshop, its detailed syllabus will forever change how you make landscape photographs and view the natural world around you.

Tuition: $450 (minimum 8, maximum 10) Registration deadline – when all seats are filled. Board, Room, Transportation, Park Entrance and Use Fees are not included. Included in the registration fee are Saturday and Sunday continental breakfasts and Saturday lunch.
